 The Mabry Trail Run is hosted by the North Texas Trail Runners in conjunction with The Texas Military Department Mabry Days | Open House, an annual event designed to welcome the community to Camp Mabry, in Austin, Texas and provide guests an up close look at its Texas National Guard. Through demonstrations, displays, and personal interaction the public is educated about the missions and capabilities it provides the citizens of Texas.

 The trail will be marked with ground markings, directional signage, and soldiers to guide. While the course is held on non technical trails, there will be a few hills to add to the challenge.

Cupless Race

A cup-less race means that there will be no paper water cups between the start and the finish line like you’d typically see at road races. 

Please bring a bottle/bladder or purchase a collapsible cup onsite for $5 and the soldiers will refill them at the aid station.

Texas Military Department Mabry Days | Open House

Held in conjunction with the American Heroes Air Show, an admission-free all-helicopter aviation event, the open house attracts approximately 20,000 guests each year. From helicopter demonstrations, World War II reenactments, children's activities, and much more, this event contains something for everyone!

 NTTR is very active in the local trail running community.  We continue to hold monthly "trail rodeos" as well as supporting local trail maintenance.  We have amazing volunteers that help with local races.  We've donated to each the following local, trail-run supporting organizations: Back on My Feet Dallas, Friends of the Grasslands, GallantFew and Town North Optimist Foundation

  The organizational meeting of North Texas Trail Runners was held at the Irving, Texas home of Fred Holmes, club organizer and first president, on April 18, 1996. On the agenda was planning of the inaugural Rockledge Rumble 50k.

 *Drivers entering the base will be required to present a valid driver’s license for main gate entry to Camp Mabry.   


Enter Camp Mabry through the Main Gate entrance on W. 35th Street. 

Go past the first stone and iron gate and follow the signs to the Texas Military Forces Museum for another half mile. The Main Gate entrance will be on your right. Once inside, follow volunteer instructions to parking.
